What is Variable Information Program Management?
VI Program Management is a total solution service provided by Image Label Systems (ILS) in which the entire VI program is managed by ILS throughout the customer's supply chain, typically involving the following key steps:
- The production of plain or branded tags to customer specifications, ready to accept the variable information.
- Extraction of the information variables from the customer's proprietary management information systems.
- Distribution of that information to the appropriate ILS production location, based on the customer's product sourcing.
- Printing of variable information onto tags or self adhesive labels (as specified by the customer).
- Distribution to customer's nominated location, usually point of product manufacture.
- Billing, and subsequent multiple levels of reporting.
